{"id":2,"date":"2010-11-28T21:43:08","date_gmt":"2010-11-28T21:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.zetaskulls.com\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2011-01-14T02:59:48","modified_gmt":"2011-01-14T02:59:48","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.zetaskulls.com\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>PHI KAPPA SIGMA<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Phi Kappa Sigma<\/strong> (<strong>\u00ce\u00a6\u00ce\u0161\u00ce\u00a3<\/strong>) is an  international all-male college leadership and social fraternity. Its  members are known as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Phi Kaps\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Skulls\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and sometimes \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Skullhouse\u00e2\u20ac\u009d,  the latter two because of the skull and crossbones on the Fraternity\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s  badge and coat of arms. Phi Kappa Sigma was founded by Dr. Samuel Brown  Wylie Mitchell at the University of Pennsylvania.  Mitchell recorded the  initial ideas and concepts of Phi Kappa Sigma on  August 16, 1850. He  then began to discuss the idea with other students,  first Charles Hare  Hutchinson, and then Alfred Victor du Pont,  John Thorne Stone, Andrew  Adams Ripka, James Bayard Hodge, and Duane  Williams. The seven men  formally founded the Fraternity on October 19,  1850 becoming the  founding fathers of Phi Kappa Sigma.\u00c2\u00a0 The International Phi Kappa Sigma  Fraternity website can be found at www.pks.org<\/p>\n<p><strong>ZETA CHAPTER<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Zeta Chapter<\/strong>, the sixth chapter of Phi Kappa Sigma  to be founded, was organized by William Lewis Neff, of Gamma Chapter  (Lafayette College), while he was a student of law in the office of  Colonel Reah Frazer.\u00c2\u00a0 Through a previous arrangement, Neff entered  Franklin &amp; Marshall College and petitioned Alpha Chapter for a  charter to launch Zeta Chapter.\u00c2\u00a0 With the cooperation and participation  of the founding Brothers of Zeta, Mark Kerne, William Richstein, Uriah  Sandt, John Merrill Ruby, George W. Silvis, and William A.
